Lucy's class is doing the Book-It reading program through Pizza Hut and I am so in love with this! She came home with the note about it at the end of September and I was very excited to find this out. I did the Book-It program when I was in elementary school and very much remember filling out my weekly reading chart at school, getting the certificates for a free personal pan pizza, and also getting my Book-It pin to wear on my jean jacket! I told Lucy about my experience with it, but really did not share my excitement about this!
I told my mom and sister about the program, asking if they remembered me doing this and they both did....probably not in as an exciting of a way like I did, though! They said they remember all the pizzas we ate..... :)
Book-It is a reading program sponsored by Pizza Hut. Each child has a reading goal for the month and once the goal is met, the student gets a certificate for a free personal pan pizza. Lucy's goal is to read 200 minutes for the month, broken down into 20-minute increments for 10 days. Once she completed her October reading goal she turned her chart into her teacher and received a free personal pan pizza certificate! I, again, was so excited about this! I just couldn't wait to go to Pizza Hut for her to get her very own pizza!
My birthday was last Thursday and I got to pick where we went out to eat that night. I can't say that I was really in the mood for pizza, but knew this was my chance to get everyone to eat pizza, so we went to Pizza Hut! I just had my heart set Lucy using that certificate! Lucy got her pizza (which she wasn't very excited about) and I think I satisfied my desire to relive my Book-It program through Lucy! I was actually kind of disappointed because the pizza didn't come out in its own little baking pan like I remember mine coming out in, but rather came out on a plate. Lucy doesn't even really like pizza that much, so hardly ate any of it! We will continue on with the program, but I think I won't be as pushy in getting her to use her certificate from now on as I did for this one!

41 or 22.....
My birthday was last Thursday and I'm either 41 or 22, depending on who you ask. ;) I had a nice day that began with breakfast in bed from Ross and the girls. I took the girls to school and then went to Bible study where my friends there surprised me with a few of my favorite things. After that I met up with my Mom to go shopping for a bit. After we picked up Molly from school we had lunch at a tea room and did a little more shopping until it was time to pick up Lucy from school. We went to dinner that night and opened presents and had brownies later. It was a really nice day! One of my best presents was from the girls, with my parents help.......pencils, erasers, and post-it notes. :)

Halloween 2019
We had a fun Halloween and a long Halloween! We had lots of different events the last week of October and got SO MUCH CANDY! It's ridiculous the amount of candy we have now! The girls had fun dressing up. Lucy dressed up as a unicorn witch and Molly dressed up as Elsa and also as a bride. We had a fun time trick or treating around our neighborhood on Halloween night, after eating a dinner of chili and mummy dogs! It was a little cold, but a lot of fun!

Pumpkin Patch Fun
We went to a pumpkin patch near Branson a few weeks ago and had the best time. We haven't really been to a place like that and done all the things, and I decided this was the year we were going to do it! We had fun playing on everything and met a few friends there, too. You can watch some of our fun here!
