Lucy's Report Card

Lucy is doing a great job in school. She just received her second quarter report card and she got all 3s, which equals to all As. She is doing great on her reading, too. Per the tests she takes, she's reading at about a second grade reading level. It's fun (and a little weird getting used to) her reading her books to us! We're so proud of Lucy and her accomplishments so far in school. She's good grade-wise and also behavior-wise.

Family Picture

My sister's birthday was January 4, so we went to their house to celebrate with her. We also finally got to exchange Christmas gifts with them. We took some pictures while there and I think they turned out pretty good!

Retired!

This post is a little late....like one year late! On January 2, 2019, my dad sold his pharmacy and retired! I met him and my mom in the morning after their closing appointment and surprised them with a sign and cinnamon rolls. You can watch it here!

He owned the pharmacy in Ash Grove for 36 1/2 years, a few years ago decided it was time to retire. He sold the phartmacy and retired, but continued (and still does today) working at the pharmacy when needed. We had a retirement party for them last March and Stephanie and I put it all together. We had a fun time working on it and I think it was a very nice party.

 

Lord of Lords

A few Sundays ago at church we sang the song "Lord of Lords" by Hillsong. This is an old song and we don't sing it very often, but when we do I love it because it was one of our wedding songs! Some friends of ours from church sang it for us while we were lighting our unity candle and taking communion together. It's such a pretty song! I remember singing it in church just a few weeks after Ross and I got engaged and thinking that it would be perfect for our wedding! I love the lyrics and think it's just a beautiful song. Sleeping Soundly.....

Sometimes we will let the girls fall asleep in our bed and move them back to their beds when we go to sleep. One night when they were in our bed and I was walking up the stairs to our room, I heard a loud noise and couldn't figure out what it was. I wasn't sure if the noise was coming from our room or somewhere else, but quickly realized when I walked into our room that it was Molly snoring! It was so loud! I haven't heard her snore very much before, especially snore that loud! So, of course, I took a video of her. :) You can watch it here!
