The girls came home with their 3rd quarter report cards last week and both were really great! Lucy got all As and Molly got all 3s, which equals all As. She did get two 2s, but that I'm not worried about that at all! I'm so proud of both girls and how well they do in school. I'm also very thankful that they really like school, too!
Molly came home with this drawing in her backpack one day. I just love it! I love her style of drawing and love how she always likes to draw our family, or especially just draw her and Lucy. She is such a sweet girl!
Our neighborhood is having an Easter egg hunt in a few weeks. We will walk around the neighborhood in a parade and pick up candy-filled eggs from houses that have signed up to be a "yard host." I made up a flyer for it and the girls helped me tape the flyers to each person's door. I was so thankful to have them help me. It went a lot faster with their help!
We went to Fantastic Caverns over spring break! I remember going as a kid and have wanted to go now as an adult for a while and we finally made it happen. We all really enjoyed it so much that we upgraded our single day passes to season passes for just $5 each! We not have season tickets to Fantastic Caverns!
Fantastic Caverns is a drive-thru cave located northwest of Springfield. I have pictures posted below and I can't say that they turned out the greatest, so take my word for it that it's just really neat in person. It's amazing to think about how long the cave formations take to grow and to think about how long that place has been there!
The girls and I had some fun times over spring break. One day we went to Barnes and Noble bookstore to look around and I let each of them buy a new book. We don't do that often, so it was fun. I also got them a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe after that. We went shopping one day and each got a a jean skirt (which they love) and Lucy got a white jean jacket and Molly finally got a mermaid tale to wear in the summer.
One morning we went to the art museum to look around a bit. We all really enjoyed looking around because the All School exhibit it up right now. This exhibit is art projects from students grades K-12 from Springfield schools. There were some really neat piece of art on display!
Molly had two playdates with two different friends and Lucy went to a sleepover with two of her friends from school. The girls had been talking about this sleepover for a long time, so it was fun that they finally got to do it! We had a really nice spring break!
