Molly gave me a calendar as a Christmas present and I love it! Lucy had the same second grade teacher that Molly has and Lucy gave me the same type of calendar when she was in second grade. I was wondering if Molly would be giving me the same type of calendar and I was excited to see she did!
I spend a lot of my time working on PTA projects. I do enjoy it and I like how it keeps me busy, but sometimes I wish I could get paid for all I do! I realized last month that I do get paid for all my work...not in money but in perks! Perks like getting to be at school for different events that other parents aren't invited to. I'm not necessarily invited to these events, but am at school "working" so get to stay for the events. The last day of school before our Christmas break I was there "working" and got to be at the Mann Huddle (school assembly) where I saw Lucy get her MVP award for the month! I'm so thankful to get to see things like that. It makes all the time and energy I put into PTA worth it!
For quite a few years now we have been having a "Wiseman Family Christmas Party" a few days before Christmas. We go out to eat at O'Hana Japanese Grill and then go down to Jordan Valley Park to walk around and look at the lights display. We all really enjoy this tradition and had a great time this year! Ross and I even did this even before we had kids...we didn't eat at the same place or go to the park, but we did make it a point to celebrate Christmas together just ourselves before celebrating with our families. I like that we can celebrate wtih both our famlies, but also like that we make time to celebrate with our immediate family.
One day we went to the mall and looked at some clothes in Maurice's. Lucy and I found a shirt that we both liked and it was Lucy's idea for me to buy both of them so we would match! I said okay! I was super excited that she wanted to match with me still!
Molly is such a funny kid! We went out to lunch on Christmas Eve and somehow she ended up sitting on Ross' lap and pretended like he was burping her. As you can see in the picture, she even put a napkin on his shoulder as if it was a burp cloth! And in the last picture you can see her loose tooth that's just like sticking straight out from her gum. I love her so!
