Lucy turned 10 in April! It's hard to believe she's already 10, which means we have been parents for 10 years! Time just flies and flies and flies! She had a great day beginning with our traditional breakfast in bed and we ate dinner at Culver's that night with my parents and then opened some presents at home. The next day Ross' parents and my sister and her family came for her family party. It was a great time celebrating Lucy! We love her so much and are so very proud of her!

Basement Finishing!
At the end of April we started a project that had been in the works for about seven years, seriously for the last year - finishing our basement! Ever since we bought out house in July 2010 the basement has been partially finished and we decided now is the time to finish it! We found a contractor who we really like and got the job rolling. It has been fun to come downstairs each day to see the progress! It will just be a big open space, no rooms except for a laundry room and bathroom. There will be a kitchen/bar area with a sink and fridge. We are so excited to see the final product!

Talent...
I use our dishwasher a lot, but I also hand wash dishes a lot. It's always like a tetris game to try and get everything stacked on the drying side without everything falling over. A few days ago I was quite proud of my stacking ability and had to snap a pic!

We Need Variety
Recently when I was looking in our pantry to figure out what to make for dinner I found this.......
It made me laugh because I realized we really need variety in our pantry!

Mother's Day
I had a nice Mother's Day! Molly gave me a special present and card that she made at school - it was lotion! I really appreciate how the teachers help the kids make a gift like that!
On Mother's Day we went to church, took some pictures of course, and then hung out at home. My parents came over for dinner and Ross made us a Japanese steakhouse meal on his new griddle grill. It was yummy!
