Mother's Ring

I got a special gift for Christmas this year - a mother's ring with the girls' birthstones in it! I'd wanted one for a while and brought it up to Ross in the fall. He said okay, let's go pick one out! We went to Mitchem Jeweler's (where we got our wedding rings) one Saturday afternoon and I picked out my ring! Lucy's birthday is in April so her stone is a diamond and Molly's birthday is in February so her stone is a purple amethyst. I knew whatever setting I picked out the ring would look good because of the stone colors! I'd thought about making it a "family" ring and putting all of our birthstones in it, but decided to leave it with just these two.

I didn't know if the ring would be in before Christmas or not and decided not to ask about it! Although the ring itself wasn't a surprise, I wanted it to be a surprise if I actually got it on Christmas. It was fun opening the very prettily wrapped box from a jewelry store! And the ring turned out prettier than I'd imagined and I love it so much! I wear it on my ring finger on my right hand and wear it all the time. It's so dainty and pretty! Thank you, Ross! I love it and I love you and I love our girls!

Omelet Flipping!

Ross always makes us breakfast for lunch on Sundays. It's been our thing for quite a few years! We go to church and then come home and have a yummy breakfast for lunch. We have waffles, pancakes, or French toast, along with scrambled eggs, bacon, and hash browns. Sometimes we will have cinnamon rolls or breakfast sandwiches. This past Sunday we decided to have omelets! Ross made bacon and cheese omelets for the girls, a sausage, bacon and cheese omelet for me, and a bacon, tomato, and mushroom omelet for himself. He had a fun time making them and they turned out pretty good, too. The girls enjoyed watching him flip the omelets, which you can watch here

An Odd Box

This is the box to an organizer shelf I bought last week. When I got it all put together and put the box out in the recycle bin I noticed something funny about the picture on the box. See if you can find what I thought was funny.....

If you noticed the landline phone on the wall, then you are right! This was so funny to me because it's 2022. Who really has a handline phone anymore and if they do, who has an old phone like this?!

Avoid Germs

This is a screenshot of a text between Ross and I. Notice this part:

"Siri Found a Reminder: Avoid germs. Today at 4:45pm."

I thought this was so funny! It came up automatically because of the text part you don't see. That day I had plans to take the girls to a friend's house to play. My friend said her son had had a fever the day before, so I opted not to go. I was texting Ross about it and his reply to me about not going was saying something about best to try and avoid germs if we can. So Siri decided we needed to set a reminder to avoid germs. Funny!

Little Legs!

This is a picture of Molly sitting on the toilet. I see this sight so very often at night when we're getting ready for bed. There is a chair in our upstairs hallway I always sit in and it has a view straight into the bathroom. It cracks me up seeing these little legs hanging off of the toilet!
