Basement Finishing!

At the end of April we started a project that had been in the works for about seven years, seriously for the last year - finishing our basement! Ever since we bought out house in July 2010 the basement has been partially finished and we decided now is the time to finish it! We found a contractor who we really like and got the job rolling. It has been fun to come downstairs each day to see the progress! It will just be a big open space, no rooms except for a laundry room and bathroom. There will be a kitchen/bar area with a sink and fridge. We are so excited to see the final product!  

Talent...

I use our dishwasher a lot, but I also hand wash dishes a lot. It's always like a tetris game to try and get everything stacked on the drying side without everything falling over. A few days ago I was quite proud of my stacking ability and had to snap a pic! 

We Need Variety

Recently when I was looking in our pantry to figure out what to make for dinner I found this.......

It made me laugh because I realized we really need variety in our pantry! 

Mother's Day

I had a nice Mother's Day! Molly gave me a special present and card that she made at school - it was lotion! I really appreciate how the teachers help the kids make a gift like that!

On Mother's Day we went to church, took some pictures of course, and then hung out at home. My parents came over for dinner and Ross made us a Japanese steakhouse meal on his new griddle grill. It was yummy! 

Teacher Mode OFF

We had these shirts made as an end of year gift for all our teachers this year and I love them so much! I got this idea from a friend who had a shirt like this on last year at the end of the year and saved it for us to use this year. I love the tie dye and I love the Teacher Mode OFF! We handed them out to all the teachers last week and they loved them! It's been a great year in PTA!!
