I Love Lucy!
Lucy is such a fun, fun, fun little girl who is full of life and energy! She's been doing a great job at dance class this fall and has never been afraid to do the little performance each day at the end of class. A few weeks ago she fell during her performance and got right back up and kept on going. I felt bad for her falling, but was so proud of her for continuing on. I also feel bad for laughing so hard at this video each time I watch it. She is so sweet!

Thanksgiving Week
We had a really fun Thanksgiving week! Ross had the week off from work so it was nice to hang out together and relax a bit. We went to see Santa at Bass Pro Shops. We picked up our Turkey Trot packet and had dinner at Chick-Fil-A. We took the girls to Orange Leaf for the first time and they seemed to really like it! On Thanksgiving morning, Lucy, Molly, and I walked the Turkey Trot 5K with my Dad. It was a fun time and the girls did really well. Lucy stayed bundled up the whole time in the stroller and Molly got out to help push a little bit! We drove to Kansas City on Thanksgiving Day to have dinner with Ross' family. On Friday we went to Union Station in KC and had a really fun time looking at all the trains and even riding a little kiddie train. On Saturday my family and cousins came over for a visit and then we went out to dinner for pizza. It was a very full and fun week!

Family Pictures
We had family pictures taken in November. I think they turned out pretty good, considering we were working with a 3 1/2 year old and a 1 1/2 year old. :)

No More Fears Of Getting Messy
A few weeks ago I wrote about how Lucy was afraid to get messy at preschool. You can read about it here.
Well, I'm happy to report that that problem has been resovled! Lately, Lucy has been into painting and the last time we were painting she completely painted her hand and her arm. I was so surprised that she did this, yet so very happy she did this, too!
The next day when I dropped Lucy off at preschool her teacher got her from the carline. I asked if she was getting better about getting messy at preschool. Her teacher said, "Oh yes, she is!" I told her about the paint on her hand and arm and we had a little laugh about it.

Birthdays And Pillow Gifts
When I was a little girl and all while growing up, my Mom would put a gift underneath my pillow at night on my birthday, Valentine's Day, Christmas and other special holidays. I loved this so much and always looked forward to it when going to bed on those special nights, wondering what I would find. It was something small, like candy, a ball of yarn, but always something she knew I would like to have.
This is a tradition she continued while I was single and living on my own (by sneaking over to my house and putting it under my pillow sometime during the day), and she continues it today even though I'm married, with a little help from my husband. My family was over at our house the weekend before my birthday and my Mom gave this little present to Ross, asking him to put it under my pillow on my birthday. The tradition had completely slipped my mind this year and I was so surprised and happy to find this little present. It was a caramel/chocolate candy bar, of which I love, and have thoroughly enjoyed eating it. Thanks, Mom! I love you and love this tradition. I think I'll start it with Lucy next year!
