This is a picture of Molly sleeping in our bed. If you look closely at it you can see that Molly is laying in the middle of the bed alone, with no one else in the bed with her. And if you look even closer, you can see the top says it was taken at 5:30am. Again, this is a picture of Molly laying in mine and Ross' bed all alone with no one else in it at 5:30am. I wasn't in the bed because I was getting ready to go for a run and Ross wasn't in the bed because he was sleeping in the guest bed.
I'm afraid we've run into a bad problem this summer....sometime mid-June Molly came into our room one night around 4am and crawled into bed with me. I didn't think anything of it and let her stay. This happened again the next night, and the next, and the next, to where we've basically had a bed partner every night since mid-June. Some nights Ross gets up and sleeps in the guest room, some nights he suffers through it like I do. Molly likes to sleep RIGHT NEXT TO ME and she often ends up sleeping sideways in bed with her head right in my back and her legs kicking Ross.
We've talked several times about how we just have to take her back to her bed and make her stay there. We haven't done this, though, because it's so much easier said than done! Basically, we're lazy and tired and don't want to get out of bed to take her back! We're hoping this is just a phase that will pass because we're tired of being tired! It's almost like having a newborn again. I don't know about Ross, but I wake up when she comes in and I often have trouble falling back asleep, so my sleep hasn't been that great lately. Each night before bed we tell Molly she needs to stay in her own bed, but she just doesn't listen to us. :)

Summer Storm
One Thursday night in June a summer thunderstorm came up all of a sudden and we got caught driving home in it. We were at our church, which is about 10 minutes away from our house, and it started to rain just as we pulled out of the parking lot. It hailed on us off and on during our drive and it was quite windy. We pulled in our garage just in time for it to really downpour and were glad to get inside our house. It didn't last very long, but proved to be quite a damaging storm. There were leaves all over our neighborhood and several houses here have hail damage to their roof.
Ross inspected our van and saw that we have quite a few spots with hail damage so we have reported a claim to our insurance company and I dropped our van off this morning to have it fixed. We also had our roof checked out and sure enough we have hail damage to our roof, along with almost every other house in our neighborhood. We will have our roof replaced later this month. We've lived in our house for eight years now and our roof was old when we moved in. It will be nice to get a new roof, but not so nice to pay our insurance deductible. :)

A Branson Week
One week in June was spent a little time in Branson! I took the girls (by myself) to Silver Dollar City on Tuesday, and on Thursday we went to White Water with my sister and two nephews. It was a fun time, but SDC was so hot! The girls had a fun time and we even met up with some friends from the gym there and had fun riding rides with them.
Before going to White Water we stopped at Dick's 5 & 10 store to look around a bit. The girls had never been there and I remember it being such a fun store to go to as a little girl. I hoped the girls would like it as much as I did. I was a sucker and let them each get a toy, so they did end up liking the store. :) White Water was fun, swimming in the wave pool and lounging around the lazy river. It was a very hot day, but a fun time spent in the sun. Molly was tuckered out on the way home and it did not take her long at all to fall asleep!

90 Years!
We celebrated my Gramma Ward's 90th birthday this month with a party at her house! I think it's quite impressive that she's 90 years old! She lives by herself, is in good health and is still quite "with it." Stephanie and I made the picture frame in the pictures below and had a fun time putting it together. My Aunt Cheryl, who I haven't seen since I visited her in 2011, came to Omaha for the party and it was nice to see her again and have her meet Ross, Lucy, and Molly. Gramma had quite a few friends and neighbors stop by to wish her well. It was fun to meet some of the people I've heard about from her for years and years!

Libby's Favorite Radio Mix
I've had this CD in my cd player/radio alarm clock for probably 15+ years. It's a cd I made, circa 2002, of my favorite worship songs. I made several of them back in the day and loved giving them as presents. :) Molly likes to play with my alarm clock (which I never use anymore for the purpose of an alarm, just for the purpose of a clock) and turn on the cd player. She's done this a few times before and we usually end up listening to only half of the first song and then turn it off. Well, one night she turned the cd on and we ended up having a dance party in our bedroom!
It was so much fun! We listened to several of the songs and danced all around the room. It was great to just be free, dance around, and be silly. I had so much fun and felt so good during this dance party. I hadn't heard these songs for several, several years and they brought back fun memories from college and my early to mid-twenties.
The next day I was thinking about how great I felt during that dance party and wondered if I felt that way because it was fun to hear these songs and the good memories they brought up, or if it was because of the songs. The songs are all Christian praise and worship songs and really, our dancing was like dancing for Jesus and praising Him. I'm sure there's more of a sermon or devotion to this, but I'll let you think on that yourself. :)
As a side note......the first song on this cd is "Red Letter Day" by Newsong. I remember I asked for a radio alarm clock with a CD player for my birthday one year, specifically for this song. With this particular alarm clock I could have a cd play when the alarm went off instead of the beeping sound or the radio. I thought it would be so great to have "Red Letter Day" play to wake me up - how could I have a bad day when listening to a song talking about how great of a day it was going to be. What I didn't realize, though, was that when I hit the snooze button (which I would do at least 2 times) the cd would start over from the very beginning instead of playing where it left off when I hit snooze. It just didn't work out quite like I wanted and thinking about this makes me laugh. :)
