Baby Wiseman #2

Baby Wiseman #2 is baking in the oven right now! I'm pregnant and due February 19, 2015! We found out the day before Father's Day and have been looking forward to next year ever since. Lucy and the baby will be about 22 months apart, which is the age difference we were hoping for. We wanted our kids to be close in age, but not too close, so this is great.

I was surprised that it happened so fast, but excited nonetheless. We found out on a Saturday night and told my parents the next night, which happened to be Father's Day. We told my parents with a cake that said "Baby Wiseman #2 loves (hearts) Gumma and Poppy." We used a cake to tell them we were pregnant with Lucy and the cake goes back to a joke we pulled on them before we were engaged. To say my mom was excited and surprised is an understatement. I will hopefully post a video of telling them soon.

We told a few friends over the next couple of weeks and then told Ross' parents on June 29. We had planned to go to Kansas City that day so I could attend a baby shower. It was important for us to tell them in person, so it worked out perfectly to tell them then. We gave Larry and Wanda each a picture of Lucy wearing her "Big Sister" shirt. They were very happy for us, but didn't seem to be as surprised as I'd hoped....I love surprises! I think they wondered if we were coming up to tell them some news since we don't usually go up there for just a day. But, I did have the baby shower planned before finding out I was pregnant. I didn't even get a picture of telling them. :(

We made the news public (aka posting on Facebook) after our second doctor visit on July 29. I was 10 weeks along and everything checked out okay, so we decided it was okay to make it public.

Right now I'm 12 weeks along and will be 13 weeks this Thursday. I'm feeling okay overall, just very tired! I've been taking a nap most every day when Lucy take a nap! I haven't had much nausea, and remember having it all the time by now with Lucy. I think it will be very hard to turn off my brain from thinking "it should be like this" because it was like this with Lucy!

I go back to the doctor on August 26 and then at our next visit in September we will get to find out if we will have another Mini-Libby or have a Mini-Ross! I am really looking forward to finding this out. Of course, we will be happy with either a boy or a girl. I might be leaning slightly more towards a girl, but it would be so much fun to see what a little Libby and Ross Wiseman boy looks like!
