Lucy and I have been playing ping pong at the gym some days after my class. We have both really enjoyed it and we're getting pretty good at it, too! You can watch us here

Scams.....

Oh no!! My PayPals service was restricted!

Hahaha....no it wasn't! This was a text message I received one day and it's obviously a scam! It just make me laugh. I hate scams like this because sometimes they look so real and it's sad to think about the people who fall for this stuff and send all their personal info as requested.

Driving On Empty

I was running on fumes the last time I filled up with gas! The computer told me I had only 16 miles left until I ran out of gas. I know this isn't good to do and Ross does not at all like that I do this, but sometimes it just happens!

I would have gotten gas sooner, but we've been trying to make the most of our HyVee Fuel Saver points lately. We've been shopping there more because they have had some good deals for earning Fuel Saver points and they have been lowering their gas by about 10cents each Tuesday.

Smoked Pork

Ross smoked some pork for us last weekend! He does such a good job with his smoking. He did some research on what exactly to do and used a dry rub on one and a marinade that he mopped onto the other pork during the smoking process. You can watch the mop here! (I thought it was really cool!) He pulls the pork and we stick it in the freezer to eat on for several months!

No Arms!

My Gramma Ward has this picture of Stephanie and me in her kitchen. She told us that when she thinks of us, she thinks of us as the ages we are in this picture. The picture was taken on March 30, 1986 and Stephanie was 11 and I was 7.

This picture has been in the same place in Gramma's kitchen for as many years as I can remember. I was looking at it last weekend when we were visiting her and I noticed something really funny about it. Can you see what's funny?

I have no arms!! By the way I have my arms held behind my back it looks like I don't have any! We got a good laugh out of this!

Morning View

Last weekend in Omaha I woke up Saturday morning to see this on my bedside table. I definitely wasn't expecting to see Forky staring at me in the morning!

Omaha

We went to Omaha last weekend to visit my Gramma Ward for her 94th birthday! We have been going to celebrate her birthday for about 10 years now and I really enjoy it. We didn't do much, but it was nice to just hang out and chat with Gramma. She is in great health for 94 years old! We spend the day with her Saturday and then went out to dinner at the Olive Garden with our whole family. Sunday morning we were able to stop by and visit with Aunt Linda for a little while, too. All in all it was a good trip!

Friday night when we were getting ready for bed Molly realized she forgot her toothbrush and toothpaste! Ross took her downstairs to the lobby to see about getting something from the front desk as they had a sign about complimentary toiletries. Molly wasn't very happy about the toothbrush she received from them and we ended up at Walmart the next morning buying one! :)

Snake Egg???

I found this egg somewhat buried in the mulch by my mailbox flowerbed. We are thinking it might be a snake egg! It has been there for maybe a week or so and I keep an eye on it every day seeing if it's changed at all. I hope it's not a snake egg!

Piano Decor

It looks like Molly did some redecorating on my piano! I think it looks great! :)

4th of July Fun!

We had a fun 4th of July weekend! It began with going to see the new Minions movie, The Rise of Gru. We have been wanting to see this movie for two years, but due to Covid, the release date was pushed back. We finally got to see it and we all enjoyed it!

Sunday night we went to a 4th of July party with our Life Group. We've been going to this group off and on since April and they had a big party that night with lots of food and fun! It was a bit hot, but we enjoyed the 30+minute fireworks show that their neighbors put on! This is the first "real" 4th of July party and fireworks show we've been to as a family. We've never gone to any before because the fireworks start so late and that just does not go well with our bedtimes! Lucy isn't a problem at all - she's a night owl. But about 9pm, 20 minutes before the fireworks show began, Molly came up to us and said she was tired and wanted to go home! She did enjoy the fireworks, but probably would have a little more if it wouldn't have been so late for her!

On the day of the 4th, we had our annual neighborhood bike parade which is always a fun time! It was at 9am and we were only outside about 30 minutes, but we were all so sweaty! It was a hot bike ride! After lunch we went to my parents' house in Ash Grove. We've been doing this for quite a few years and it's always a fun time. This year Stephanie, Nathan, and Trevor joined us, too. Cody was away at a church trip so he wasn't able to come. We swam for a bit, watched the annual hot dog eating contest on tv, and then Ross made his famous hibachi dinner for us! It was so yummy and he's really gotten good at making it. He also made us homemade ice cream for dessert!

We shot off some fireworks and Trevor had a fun time showing the girls how to light them. They both enjoyed being able to do that. All in all it was a really fun day. My pictures are a bit out of order, but oh well!
