2772 West Allen Drive

A few weeks ago we drove by the house I lived in when I was first born. It was in Springfield, not too far from where we live now. We lived there from when I was born until the summer before I entered kindergarden and we moved to Ash Grove. I know I was really little then, but I remember the house well. I so wish I could go back inside of it someday. I drive by it every so often and really enjoy doing so!

Taking Care of Babies

One night we went out to dinner and both girls decided they needed to bring a baby doll along. They also needed to feed the baby dolls, too, so they both brought a bottle for their babies. This was so sweet! I love this picture, especially how they're just kind of staring off into space like it's no big deal they're feeding a baby. :)

Stickers

Both of my girls love to play with stickers. We seem to have lots and lots and lots of stickers and they go through phases where they play with them a lot, and then they don't. They stick them on their play table, on each other, on Ross and I, and Molly's favorite, the step down into our family room. I sure do love Molly. :)

Seven Years

Yesterday, April 17, was our seven-year wedding anniversary! We had a nice time celebrating, which actually began last weekend. Friday morning, I met my Mom and she took the girls for the day and night so we could have a kid-free dinner. We met up with my parents and the girls the next day at my sister's house to celebrate Easter and my brother-in-law's birthday.

Friday night we went to dinner and then stopped at a grocery store to buy a few pieces of Cheesecake Factory cheesecake, and took them home to eat on our deck. It was a beautiful evening and fun to sit on our deck and enjoy the weather and our lights.

On our anniversary we went to dinner (thanks, Mom and Dad for the dinner $$!) at a local pizza place we both like. It was a nice time and good dinner, and although we didn't say it to each other, I'm sure Ross and I would have rather just stayed home given the way the evening began. Right before we left for dinner, Molly threw a huge fit because she didn't want to go anywhere and didn't want to change out of the Frozen nighty she had been wearing all day. Lucy also threw a fit because she didn't want to wash her hands like we asked. The fits were bad; definitely one for the books!

I don't know how, but we got them both calmed down and into the car ready to go. Dinner was uneventful and then we took a walk around the neighborhood and played outside for a little bit when we got home.

It was certainly quite a difference from our wedding day, our first anniversary spend in Hawaii, and our second anniversary spend in Jamaica, but nevertheless, it was a nice day because I spent it with Ross. :)

Fingernails By Lucy

I first painted Lucy's fingernails about a year ago and she has really enjoyed having them painted ever since. We seem to go in phases where we paint them a lot, then we don't for a month or so. For my birthday, my parents took the girls shopping to the Dollar Store for them to get me something. The girls bought me little, tiny bottles of nail polish, black and pink. Lucy has LOVED painting my fingernails black.

A few weeks ago she was really into painting fingernails again and decided to paint my fingernails in rainbow colors. It was actually kind of fun having the rainbow colors, and Lucy did a great job painting my nails. :)

Lunch With Doc McStuffins And Super Girl

Lucy and Molly, especially Molly, have been into dressing up in their play outfits lately. Sometimes I'll let them wear the outfits to the gym or wherever we're going, but most of the time they just change into them when we get home. One day last week Lucy put on her Doc McStuffins outfit and Molly put on her Super Girl outfit right at lunch time. They wanted to eat at their table in the living room, so I thought why not! They are such sweet little girls!
