Girls' School Work

The girls come home with a lot of schoolwork and I end up saving a lot of it. I put it all in a pile and then go through it when it gets to be too much and weed out what I really don't need. Here's a sampling of some of their work! I love their writing worksheets!

Another Positive Principal Referral!

The screenshot below is the transcription of a voicemail I received from Lucy's school principal. She received another positive principal referral a few weeks ago! We are so proud of her! This time she received it from her computer class teacher for completing her typing program and being a good leader and role model to her friends. I love how our principal calls and report these good messages to parents! Lucy received her name on the announcements, a certificate, and got to pick a prize from the principal's prize stash. Good job, Lucy! We love you so much!

Lucy.....

This is a school work page Lucy came home with one day. The part about it that cracks me up so much is what she wrote about why she would go to a movie over camping. One of her reasons is "there are no bugs" when going to a movie, compared to there are bugs when going camping! I don't know if I would have thought to write that as to why I'd rather see a movie than go camping, but it is fitting for Lucy to say that. She absolutely hates bugs! I love my Lucy!

Silver Dollar City!

Ross took the day off work a few Fridays ago and we decided to take the girls out of school early and go to Silver Dollar City for the afternoon. We didn't mind having them miss school for a few hours and thought it would be a good time to go with not a lot of people there. The forecast called for rain later that night so we decided to do it and I let the girls' teachers know they would be leaving early.

But then came Friday morning. We saw the forecast and it looked like storms would come into the Branson area between 2-4 that day, right when we were planning to be there! We thought about it some and decided to go anyway, because who knows if the forecast would even be right or not!

Turns out, it was right! We got to SDC around 2pm and left around 3:15pm! We were able to get some rides done, though, before the storms rolled in and shut down the rides due to lightning in the area. Thankfully we got to our van before it really started to rain and headed on home. It probably wasn't the best day to go, but we still had a good time!

Sleeping

I took this picture of Molly one night before I went to bed. She's been sleeping with her sleeping mask on a lot lately, so I wasn't surprised to see that. I was surprised, though, to see her legs hanging off of the bed! I wonder why she ended up falling asleep this way!? Was she wanting to get out of bed, but fell asleep in the process? I have no idea, but it sure is cute!

Photo Bomber!

Molly is quite the ham and lately she's taken to running out of pictures right before we take them. In this particular picture she decided to be a photo bomber instead of a photo runner. It's really quite funny! Can you find Molly in this picture? If not, I'll give you a hint...look low!

11 Years!

Today is our 11th wedding anniversary! It's fun to think back on this time 11 years ago and remember everything going on leading up to our wedding and the wedding day itself. I could probably still tell you every single detail about our wedding! It was just the most absolute funnest, best day ever! Happy anniversary, Ross! I love you!

70 Years Old!

Both of my parents have a birthday in March and this year it was a big one! My mom turned 70 on March 15 and my dad turned 70 on March 31! We got together on Easter weekend to celebrate and had a nice time!

Easter 2021!

We had a really nice Easter this year! We spent the day before Easter at my parent's house celebrating both of their 70th birthdays. When we got home that night we had to color our Easter eggs and this year we think they turned out really good!

On Easter morning I got up and ran 4 miles. It was timed perfectly with the sunrise so when I was done running I saw the sun come up. I've always wanted to see the sun rise on Easter morning! It was was such a beautiful morning! We went to church and our church continued their tradition of having a cross out front for people to decorate with flowers. We love doing that and were happy to get a picture in front of the decorated cross! The Sunday school classes had an Easter egg hunt during class that morning and Molly's teacher sent me a picture of Molly with some of her friends and her class hunting eggs. :)

We took more pictures at home and the girls were really good to cooperate with that! It was a pretty warm day and we played outside later that afternoon and Molly made herself a little pool in her book boat. :)
