Lucy's or Molly's Legs?!

One night I was told to come into the living room and take a picture of the girls. So I did and found this:

It was so funny to me! It was kind of hard to tell if it was Lucy's legs next to her face or Molly's! It's a little easier to tell when you see the picture from this perspective!

Dinner Choices

Each week I update this calendar for what all is going on that week and what we will have for dinner. It's on our refrigerator so everyone can see it and know what's going on. On Sundays I'll update it for the week and figure out dinners. I always ask what everyone wants for dinner, but don't often get a reply, so I just put down what I want to have. Or I'll get "McDonald's or Chick-fil-A" all the time which we can't do all the time!

A few weeks ago I noticed that Lucy took it upon herself to change up our Sunday dinner from steak to Culver's....I'm sorry to say that didn't happen, but it was a nice try on her part!

Spring Break Day In Branson

The girls were on spring break last week and we had a good week together! Ross took off work on Monday and Tuesday and we went to Branson for the day on Monday. We did some shopping at the outlet mall, got some good treats at a local 50's-themed diner, went to the Titanic Museum, had dinner at one of our favorite Mexican restaurant on the Landing, and watched the water/lights display.

The Titanic Museum was a good time! Each person who goes through gets a card with an actual passenger's information on it and at the end of the tour you get to see if your passenger lived or died. Lucy and Molly both survived, but sadly, Ross and I both died!

Overall it was a really fun day!

Family Blanket

For Christmas, Larry and Wanda gave us a "family blanket" that is huge! It's maybe 10'x10' and super soft. We've used it quite a bit since getting it in December. The girls used it as a blanket when they slept downstairs on New Year's Eve. We've used it several time when sitting on the couch and wanting to cover up. And the latest use, which it is perfect for, was for making a fort. Usually when they make a fort we have to get out 4-5 blankets to properly cover the fort. With this family blanket we were able to put it over the tables and it covered the sides, too. It was perfect for it!

Molly also used it as a LONG cape when playing the piano one day!

Shadowbox

This shadowbox used to be in my room when I was a little girl. It held all of my little trinkets and treasures and now Molly is using it in her room! It's really and old printer's tray which I call a shadowbox. My mom has saved it and we realized it would be perfect for Molly's room and all of her trinkets and treasures!

Me & My Guy Dance

I helped put on a Me and My Guy dance at our school last month. This is a daddy/daughter dance for all girls and their dad or father figure in their life. We haven't been able to have this dance since January 2020, so it was great to have it again! We had about 150 people attend and all the girls were dressed in pretty dresses and had a great time! We had a photo booth set up and used tons of ballooons to decorate the school gym/cafeteria. It was a lot of work, but worth it to see all the girls having such a good time!

Snow Pants

Each winter I try to make sure the girls have good clothes to play out in the snow in. I've done a good job of always getting everything secondhand because it's ridiculous to pay full price for something that's only used once or twice a year! However, this year I wasn't as prepared with this as I like to be.

The only pants I had that would fit Molly were size 5T! She wore them last year with no problem, but this year they were really tight and snug on her. She's long grown out of size 5T for regular clothes, but snow pants are so different - they're big, bulky, and often run big on size. She suffered through the 5T snow pants for the first snowfall we had and right after that I was so thankful to find a secondhand pair of size 7/8 snow pants for only $10! She's moving up to a size 10/12 pants now, but I figured if she can wear a size 5T snow pants at age 8 and be okay, the 7/8 snowpants would probably be fine for a few more years! She was very thankful for pants that actually fit!

Snow Day!

We had a snow day in January that was the best day! The snow was so pretty and stayed on the trees almost all day long. It was such a pretty sight! I had our school Eagleton mascot at home so the girls and I met a friend up at the school playground and we took pictures of Eagleton playing in the snow on the playground for our Facebook page. It was a lot of fun taking those pictures!

It was perfect snowman snow, so we made a snowman and a few big snowballs with the snow in the afternoon. It was a great snow day!
