Lucy was baptized at our church on Sunday, August 6! She was saved on Friday, June 14, 2019, but wasn't ready for baptism until now. I was so happy to be in the pool with her helping to baptize her. You can watch it here! I'm so proud of Lucy. I know she loves Jesus and has such a kind, caring heart!
Last year I started First Friday with our PTA at school. It's just something to do on the first Friday of each month where we have our Eagleton mascot in the carline greeting students. We also have a special treat for teachers. This year for the September First Friday Eagleton was in the carline along with the Kickapoo Drumline playing while studens arrived at school. The drumline came a few times last year and it's my absolute favorite when they come! I love to listen to them play. We had ice cream treats in the freezer for teachers that day and set up our PTA bounce houses at recess for the kids to play in. Overall it was a great day and a great way to build school spirit!
We were at my parents' house on Labor Day weekend and Molly ended up trying on this dress:
It is my Gramma Peterson's (my mom's mom) wedding dress! I think my Gramma and Grampa Peterson were married in the mid-1930s, so this dress is very old! My mom has it on display in her basement and each time we've been there the girls have asked about trying it on. Lucy really wanted it to fit her, but it was just a little too small! Gramma must have been super tiny when she wore this! Molly was able to put it on, although it is a little big on her. The dress has a little tear in it on the side, but it's in amazing condition for how old it is!
