It's offically fall/winter so that means it's time to make my Hamburger Stew! I have been making this off and on since I was a junior in high school. I love it, but unfortunately no one in my entire family likes is, so I make it for myself! They absolutely do NOT know what they are missing!
We had a nice Thanksgiving this year! It was a beautiful weather day and we started it out by doing the Turkey Trot with my dad. We didn't do the full 3.1 miles, but cut it short a little. We had a fun time, though.
We decided to stay at our house for Thanksgiving this year and my parents came over to have dinner with us. Ross made a turkey and it turned out very good! We had mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, stuffing, new fruit, and rolls along with the turkey. It was really just the right amount of food. My sister and her family came over in the late afternoon for some dessert and visiting. Overall it was a very nice day together!
I finally completed my new laundry room over the weekend! I put the finishing touch on the cabinet doors by using wrapping paper to cover up the middle pannel of each door. I love how it turned out and the wrapping paper matches the purple color on the walls perfectly. I love my laundry room! I love all the pictures I have up on the wall and especially love my chandelier!
The girls both participated in the 101 Dalmatians play the Springfield Little Theater put on. For five weeks in August/September they spend their time from 7-9pm Monday-Thursday at The Judy practicing for the play! They did great with this schedule and did a great job at the play! They performed it five times and Ross and I watched it all five times. It was such a cute play and we are so very proud of them for their hard work. They both want to do more plays, so I'm sure I'll be writing more about that in the future!
This picture is from August, but it's the first time we ate in our little kitchen area in the basement! The countertops were installed on the first day of school and we celebrated that Friday by having pizza in the basement! The basement is 100% complete now and we've really enjoyed spending time down there. We often watch tv in the basement in the evenings and the girls like to hang out down there. It was worth the wait and the money!
