Thanksgiving 2018

We had a really nice Thanksgiving! We usually go to Kansas City to Ross' parents for Thanksgiving dinner, but decided to stay home at our house this year. In the morning, Ross, the girls, my Dad, and I did the Turkey Trot and then later that day my parents came over for dinner. Friday we went to Kansas City and stayed there for the day and most of Saturday.

Thanksgiving Day was great weather! The girls got a little tired during the Turkey Trot, so we didn't quite do the full 5K, but did cross the finish line! We came home and watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade and later in the afternoon played outside in the leaves. We had turkey for dinner and had fun taking pictures.

Friday morning we drove to Kansas City and while the girls played with Gramma and Grampa in the afternoon, Ross and I did our annual black Friday shopping. Our shopping basically consists of going to a few stores and looking around, way after all the door buster sales are over! Larry and Wanda took us to dinner at P.F. Chang's on the plaza for a belated birthday dinner for me and we had fun walking around a bit looking at lights. Saturday morning we slept in and after breakfast went to Sheel's where we took a ride on the ferris wheel. We've done this the last few years and the girls really enjoy it. Ross' brother's family came over that afternoon and we had a fun visit with them. Their daughter, Haddie, is just two weeks younger than Lucy, so all the girls had fun playing together. All in all it was a great Thanksgiving holiday!
