My mother-in-law, Wanda, is a very good cook and baker. Our tastes vary a bit, but she always has good food and over the last ten years I've known her, I've acquired several recipes from her that have become favorites.
This past Valentine's Day she made the cookies below and brought us some when they came for Molly's birthday party. Not only are the cookies quite tasty, but they are so pretty to look at! She does such a good job decorating them! I wish I could make my cookies look like this, but do not have the patience or the talent to do so. I'm so glad she shares her yummies with us so I can enjoy them! She always makes pretty cookies like this at Christmas and even made some for our wedding and Lucy's first birthday.

Lucy's Special Goldfish
Lucy always has goldfish as a snack at bedtime. She keeps them in a container on her headboard shelf and snacks on them after we put her to bed. Often times when we're downstairs (after putting her to bed) we will hear her yell down to us that she found a double goldfish or even a triple goldfish. Sometimes she is relentless in her yelling down to us and makes us come up to see her treasure. She does not eat these special goldfish, but keeps them in a pile on her headboard shelf. I just love her. :)

The BEST Selfie
I took this selfie last week at Molly's family birthday party. I think it's the best selfie ever! I've taken a selfie like this the last few years at both girls' parties, but this one by far tops all the others! It turned out so good!

Molly's Headphones
Lucy and Molly got headphones for Christmas to use when playing the iPad. They have been pretty good about wearing them and it's kind of nice to not hear everything they're watching...which is usually videos of other kids opening toys. :) Lucy uses headphones at school and knows how to plug them in and use them. Molly, on the other hand, is still working on the plugging in part. She often doesn't plug them in all the way and doesn't realize that she's not hearing the sound through the headphones, but rather through the iPad as if she didn't have headphones on. It's quite funny. You can watch, or rather listen, to her here. :)

Molly's Time Lapse Video
Molly likes to take my phone and watch videos on it and also record her own videos. One day when she was recording a video she accidentally had it on time lapse instead of regular video. It's such a funny video to watch and you can watch it here!

Molly
My Mom took this picture of Molly when she was at her house one day. Molly is holding the happy meal toys she and Lucy got for dinner that night. I was struck by how pretty Molly is! She's been wearing her hair down like this most all the time now, opposed to wearing it up in two little piggies. I really like it like it like this and think she is just so cute and pretty. :)

I Do It For The Donuts
Over the course of 2018 I developed a great love for donuts and I blame this on my husband. I was never a big donut person before we met, but he has certainly gotten me into them over the years. I don't really like a variety of donuts, just a few certain types. My favorite glazed donuts are from Walmart and my favorite "specialty" donuts are from Krispy Kreme: chocolate iced, cream filled are the absolute best!
We often find Krispy Kreme coupons in the paper for one dozen any kind donuts for $6-something and take the girls there to get some. This is a good deal and we love getting this coupon. We've also found that the donuts freeze very well, so don't feel too bad about getting a whole dozen! Ross' favorite Krispy Kreme donuts are the chocolate iced, cream filled, too. The girls also like these donuts so we get them for the whole dozen, eat whatever at the donut shop, and put the rest in our freezer.
I love the donuts so much that I made myself a workout shirt that says "I do it for the donuts." I love wearing this shirt and I love donuts! The pictures below are from New Year's Eve day when the girls and I met Daddy at Krispy Kreme to get donuts after we'd been to the gym. A few years back on NYE day I was sick so Ross took the girls to get donuts and it became our NYE day tradition to get donuts.

Like Mother, Like Daughter
Over the last year I've been noticing that Molly is a lot like me. We seem to have similar personalities and I just feel like lots of me will show more through her as she grows. I'm mainly talking about personality traits, etc., but I guess our sleeping habits are definitely one way we are the same, as you can see from the pictures below that Ross took.
The first picture is Molly napping in our bed one Sunday afternoon. She has the covers pulled up, almost all the way over her head.
The second picture is me napping on the couch that same Sunday afternoon. I have the covers pulled up, basically all the way over my head.
