Sweet Treats!

 Ross went grocery shopping one night and brought me home a few of my favorite things! It was a nice surprise! 

Another School Year!

We started back to school on Monday, 8/22. This year our school start time is 7:20am - that means the girls need to be at school, in their classroom, ready to learn at 7:20am! We are playing with different wake up times and will get something down to where it seems more normal. The last few years our start times have been 8:50, 8:45, and 8:30! 7;20am is so early! 

Lucy is in 4th grade and Molly is in 2nd grade. So far both have had good days and like their teachers. I took them to get a treat after school on the first day - Lucy chose Andy's and Molly chose Pineapple Whip because Snow Biz was closed. 

I'm busy with PTA again this year and do enjoy it. I think I'll be lost someday when I don't have that stuff to work on! 

Wall Art

It was the end of an era in our house a few weeks ago as Ross painted over Molly's artwork on our living room columns! We had planned on doing this for a while, mainly to give the columns a fresh coat of paint because they needed it! Molly was maybe 2 when we discovered she had colored on the columns. I don't think either of got mad, but rather just laughed! Molly is such a fun little girl! 

Funny thing about the marker - when Ross was prepping the area to paint he found that the marker came off right away with water! All this time we could have very easily cleaned it up but never did. I guess we just didn't care that much about it. It made a great conversation piece! 

Bringing Back Petsmart!

 About three or four summers ago we discovered Petsmart and went there almost on a weekly basis to look at all the animals they had in the store. They sell fish, birds, reptiles, hamsters, etc., and also have a cat adoption center and doggy daycare. The girls love to look at everything, especially the cats. Due to covid Petsmart hasn't had all their cats and dogs the last few years so we kind of forgot about it. But we brought it back this summer! We've been three or four times to look around and each time we've seen some really cute cats. Here they are posing with some little hamsters they thought were cute! 

Summer Days

We've had a fun summer and have spend some fun times at our neighborhood pool. We love swimming with our friends, Darby and Owen and I snapped this picture of everyone taking a break with bomb pops the last time we all swam together.
