Pattern Side Up Or Pattern Side Down?

When I use sheets that have a pattern on one side of the fitted sheet, I put the patterned side down on my bed instead of up. I do this because I like to see the pattern when I fold my sheets back over the comforter when going to bed. Lucy has Frozen and Doc McStuffins sheets for her bed and I put them on the same way as I do on my bed, patterned side down, but quickly learned that was not the way she preferred! She wanted the patterned side up so she could see what was on the sheet. Ross said he would do it this way, too. It's funny to me how everyone does things like this differently. What would you prefer? Patterned side up or down?!
