Gumma Preschool

On some Tuesdays when Lucy goes to preschool, Molly goes to "Gumma Preschool." I meet my mom after dropping Lucy off at school and Molly goes to her house for the day. It's so nice because I can get things done like cleaning or shopping, or just whatever I want to do. And Molly really likes playing at Gumma and Poppy's, so it's a win-win all the way around. 

Molly went to Gumma Preschool yesterday and my Mom text me a funny story and pictures about Molly and the candy that Mom has out at her house. Here's my Mom's text:

Molly got here and her eye immediately locked on the Hershey's Kiss birdie! So I let her have one.

Then later in the morning, I went to the restroom in my back bedroom. When I came out, she was sitting on the floor with candy wrappers all around her.

I said, "Oh, Molly! How many of those have you eaten? I think you better put that birdie back on the table."

I didn't get a picture of her quick enough because she jumped up, knowing uh ohhhh, and she said, "Okay, Gumma; I put it back. They're good, Gumma!" So I took a picture of the aftermath! 

Dress-Up Dresses And Umbrellas

The girls went to the gym like this today, wearing their dress-up dresses and using their umbrellas. \

I hadn't planned on this, but before getting dressed this morning Molly found her ballerina dress she's been playing in and said she wanted to wear it. I didn't think it'd matter, so said okay. I went to get Lucy dressed and she said she wanted to wear her pajamas to the gym. I said no and she persisted on wearing her pajamas. I really didn't want to fight her getting dressed so thought I'd see if she wanted to wear one of her dress-up dresses. She loved the idea, so put on her Anna dress.

It was a little rainy this morning so I had both girls use their umbrellas. They looked so cute walking in like this! I wish they'd both had their rain boots on, too!

Molly's Laughing

Molly love to laugh! She can laugh and laugh and laugh and it's so funny! Just recently she's started getting into laughing fits and I love it. It's a deep, belly laugh and it's just great to listen to. Enjoy!

Molly And Butter

Lucy likes to put butter on a piece of bread and call it toast. So, since Lucy likes to do it, Molly likes to do it, too! One day at lunch Lucy asked for toast, so I let her have some and I let Molly have some, too. Molly kind of got her piece of bread buttered, but probably spent more time eating the butter than putting it on the bread.

Happy Birthday, Mom!

Happy birthday today to my Mom! She came over for lunch today, which consisted of waffles and scrambled eggs since it's Waffle Wednesday. The girls were excited to see her and we sang happy birthday to her with her candle stuck in her scrambled eggs. She even got to eat her lunch off of our You Are Special plate. 

After lunch she played with Lucy and Molly in their rooms, and in the ladybug tent that's been up in Molly's room now for a while. Happy birthday, Mom! I hope you have a great day. I love you!

Lucy's Artwork

Lucy drew a picture yesterday and Ross and I are so impressed with it. We've never seen her draw anything like this and we think it is just great! She has become more interested in drawing and coloring in the last few months. She likes to write her name, which is so cute to us because she writes her letters backwards, but we've never seen her draw a picture before. I am amazed by and in love with this picture!

Mealtime Prayers

I'm not a fan at all of posting pictures or videos of people praying. I just feel like it exploits the whole process, but this is too sweet not to share....

Lucy and Molly often have lunch or snacks at their table in our living room/play room. One day they were having lunch and I heard Lucy say that they needed to say their prayer. I'm so glad I heard her say this and had my phone handy to capture it. Lucy is so good at the prayer and Molly....oh sweet Molly just eating her lunch. :)
