Just Killing Time
Lucy is just the funnest little girl ever. We went to my newphew's football game last week and she did a really good job sitting through it all. I took this video of her during halftime when there was some loud music playing. My sister and I tried to get her to dance. She danced a little, but then had her own idea of how to kill time.....love her so much!

Molly McButters
Molly has a new nickname: Molly McButters.
One day Lucy started calling Molly "Molly McButters" and we had no idea where it came from. We thought it was pretty funny so started using the nickname for Molly. One day when picking Lucy up from daycare at the gym I said "Molly McButter" and told the girls working in there that Lucy started calling her that and we thought it was so funny. They then told me that they knew about it and that it actually came from one of the ladies who works at the gym.
I saw that lady the next time I was at the gym and asked her where she got the name from. She said it used to be on a commercial and she started saying it to Molly one day and Molly got the biggest smiles on her face. This lady was a little afraid I didn't like the nickname, but I told her we thought it was really funny and use the nickname ourselves. And we are now known as the "McButters" family to some of the people at the gym. :)

Little Hands
Lucy, Molly, and I went to Joplin one day last week to do some shopping with my sister and then go to my nephew's football game that evening. I decided to let Lucy watch a DVD on the way since it was a long trip and I didn't want her taking a nap in the morning. I brought along a Toy Story DVD and tried to put it in the van DVD player about 30 minutes into our trip. I tried putting it in, but it wouldn't go. It seemed as if a DVD was already in the player so I hit eject to try to get it out and nothing happened. I pushed play to see if it would start playing and nothing happened. I tried eject again and nothing came out, but it did make a noise as if it was trying to do something. Since I was driving I had to leave it alone and try to fix it later.
When I got to my sister's house we took off to the mall and I told her about my DVD problems. She messed with it some and found the same thing - it wouldn't eject and it wouldn't play. She looked at it a little more closely and realized that there were two DVDs in the player, hence the reason it was not working. When we got back to her house I messed with it a little more and was able to get the two DVDs out using a pair of needle nose pliers. When I pulled the DVDs out I just laughed and laughed and laughed. What I originally thought were DVDs were actually two CDs that I had in my car. They were from my bag of aerobics music that I keep in the car and I know exactly how they ended up in the DVD player.
On Labor Day, Ross and I cleaned out our van and Lucy was playing in the driver's seat while we were doing so. The van was turned off, but she was hitting buttons, turning knobs, and playing with switches. When we were done cleaning the van I looked in to find that my aerobics CD bag had been gotten into and a few CD cases were out. I didn't think a thing of it until I pulled the CDs out of the DVD player that day. Lucy had stuck two of my CDs into the DVD player. Oh the things little hands can get into....... :)

My Husband Cut My Hair
So this happened earlier this summer....I let my husband cut my hair! I told Ross one day that I needed a hair cut and he said he could do it. He often makes jokes about him cutting my hair and I just blow it off, but for some reason his comment this time stuck with me. I kept thinking about it and decided to let him do it. I figured he couldn't mess it up too bad since my hair isn't really "styled" so to say, it's all one length and he would just need to cut straight across. And if he messed it up I could always go to my regular stylist and have him fix it up.
I think Ross did a really good job! It was kind of fun having him cut my hair and saved us $35, too. Thanks, Ross!

Stickers
Lucy loves stickers. She has Frozen stickers, Toy Story stickers, and most most recently, star stickers. She likes to put them on herself, on our furniture, and on us, too. One day she found my star stickers and decided I needed some on me. She's such a fun little girl. :)
