There was a 1.5 mile hiking trail very close to our resort so we decided to go on for a hike on the last day of our trip. It was actually considered a "snowshoe trail" meaning you should wear snowshoes on this particular trail. We didn't have snowshoes, and didn't want to rent them, so figured we'd be fine in our tennis shoes.
And we were fine until we decided to venture off the "shoveled" path.
We decided to take "senior pictures" in the snow. (Just taking silly poses, like you would find in senior pictures. We've done this a few times before and have fun with it.) Well, to take the pictures we walked off of the trail and into the snow, closer to the trees. We quickly realized how deep the snow was. It was deep. I mean REALLY deep!
It was the oddest thing, taking a step and instead of my foot landing on something solid, it just kept sliding down, farther into the snow. At one point the snow was about waist-high on me and on Ross! It was quite challenging, and quite funny, trying to work our way back to the walking path. This made for such a fun time!
Enjoy our pictures!
