Lucy turned 8 years old on April 28! I'm sure I say it every year, but it's hard to believe she's another year older! She had a sleepover with four of her girlfriends the weekend before her birthday and that was a really fun time! The girls were all very good and got along well. They stayed up until about 1am and woke up around 8am. We were a little tired, but it was worth it!
Lucy had breakfast in bed on her birthday and went to school. After school we picked her up and went to Claire's in the mall to get her ears pierced! She has been talking about getting her ears pierced for quite a while and was excited, but nervous, to get them done. She did great and only cried just a little bit when it was over. She chose pink hearts for her earrings and it's so fun to see her with them in! We ate at Qdoba (one of her favs right now) for dinner and then opened presents and had cake at home with Gumma and Poppy.
That weekend Gramma and Grampa came to visit for her family birthday party. We had cake, presents, and played kickball outside in the evening. It was a great birthday celebration for a great girl!
