4th of July!

We had a good 4th of July weekend! It began on Saturday morning with a neighborhood bike parade!  I organized it and this is the second year we've done it. I think we had a few more kids this year than last, and I look forward to continuing it for lots of more year. Lucy decorated her bike and Molly decorated the electric scooter and we had a fun time in the parade!

We went to my parent's house on the 4th to swim and have a hibachi dinner cooked by Ross. The weather was perfect and the pool water was a perfect temperature for swimming and having fun. Ross did a fantastic job cooking our dinner and even had a little fun trying to do an egg roll. You can watch it here!

We had a lot of fun shooting off some little and big fireworks and sparklers. Lucy loved doing the smoke bombs and finally learned how to use the lighter and do them herself. She was very good to run out of the way once lit. :) The past few years we've gotten a parachute firework. Last year it got stuck in a tree and this year it got stuck on the sunroom roof on the deck! It was quite funny to us and you can watch it here
