One day Lucy was outside working on her gymnastics and asked me to help her. I've done this lots of times before so didn't think anything of it. She was doing a back flip and I was going to help her legs flip on over. We got in position and instead of me getting her legs flipped over onto the ground, her knee got flipped right into my neck! I bit my lip in a couple of places and her knee went right into the spot where my neck and chin meet by my ear. It hurt so bad! All I could do is just sit for a little bit and then when I realized my lip was bleeding I went inside to get it cleaned up. Lucy was fine, but I think her knee did hurt a little bit and she was kind of scared about what happened. I think it could have been a lot worse and I'm glad it wasn't! You can watch here.

Molly's First Grade Year
Molly had a great first grade year! She had a wonderful teacher and made some really good friends. I constantly heard stories about her BFF, Zoey, and I know Molly will miss seeing her this summer. Molly did a great job academically. Her reading skills really increased and she learned how to tell time! She received a "Writing Whiz" award from her teacher and she also received the Citizenship Award for her class! I was so excited to hear she received that award! She got a certificate for it and a medal that she wore all day long, even at home! Molly had all 3s on her report card, too! We are so proud of her and very thankful for a great first grade year!

Lucy's Third Grade Year
Lucy had such a great year in third grade! She had a guy for a teacher and when we found this out I was afraid she might not like having a guy, but she really enjoyed Mr. Lyons! She said he's been her favorite teacher so far! He has been great. He seems very laid back and he did a lot of fun things with his kids. She did very well on all her testing and literally received all As on her report card! I'm so very thankful for her great third grade year!

Lego HELL
Last week I willingly plunged myself into Lego Hell!
We have several Lego sets that the girls like to put together and play with for a while, then put away. Molly does a good job at putting them together, but she has a bad habit of taking Lego pieces from other sets when a piece to the set she is working on is missing. This causes lots of issues! And I'm not 100% sure, but I think we have a Lego fairy who likes to come and take random pieces from all our sets and hide them because there are quite a few pieces that were missing!
It has really been bugging me that we have all these incomplete sets. so I decided it was time to get everything out and put them all together, hoping to find all the missing pieces. I started this last week and last Saturday was a dreary, rainy day, so the girls sat and helped me with this task. It was fun working on the Legos with them and I think the girls enjoyed it, too.
Thankfully, we were able to find several of the missing pieces and we have complete sets again! There are a few pieces that are still missing and I think I just have to let it go and accept that some will never be complete!

We're In The Bible!
When Ross and I got married we gave our pastor three different scriptures we wanted read during our ceremony. One of the scriptures was Ephesians 3:20-21, "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever." I wanted him to read this because I just love it because God really is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine!
Our pastor did use this in our ceremony and added to it a bit in a way that I loved. I loved it so much that I printed out what he said and have it framed on the keyholder in our mudroom. (My thinking for putting it there was that I would see it everyday when I leave my house and that might cause me to think on it all day.) This is how it was changed for our wedding: "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in this home, in this marriage, in Ross and Libby, and in Christ Jesus throughout al generations for ever and ever." I just love how he added the part about our home, our marriage, and us individually!
Well, a few weeks ago Molly noticed it and after reading it said, "wow, are you and Daddy in the Bible?" I told her no and explained the verse and why it has our names in it. I chuckled to myself about that throughout the day and thought it was so sweet and innocent!

Beautiful Sunday!
Sunday, May 1, was a beautiful spring day so we took advantage of it by going to a park and walking around for a bit. It was Jordan Valley Park and it doesn't have playground equipment, but just has a big open area to play around at. We've been there before in the spring and also go each year at Christmas to see the lights display they put up. The weather had been not so great on the days leading up to May 1, so it was just wonderful to get out and enjoy the sunshine!

Teacher Appreciation Week 2022
Teacher Appreciation Week was May 2-6 and our PTA takes this on as a project each year to help celebrate our teachers. We went with a "Friends" theme this year, like from the Friends TV show. We found lots of great idea on Pinterest and had fun with it. We received lots of compliments on how fun the theme was, so that's always nice to hear! We provided snacks, lunch, breakfast, and treats for the teachers each day of the week. It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun, too!

Rain Gauge!
I got a cool rain gauge from my Dad for Christmas. I'd asked for one and was thinking I'd get one of those big, plastic ones. But, the one I got is so neat. As you can see in the pictures below, it's even more of a decorative rain gauge, too. The blue part is plastic and once rain collects in the base, the blue part floats up show how much rain you have received. We had a lot of rain last week and the bottom picture is from Monday-Thursday. I have this rain gauge in my front flower bed area and can see it very easily from my front door.

Mother's Day 2022
I had a really nice Mother's Day this year! Lucy made me a fun card at school, and as you can see by the picture below, she's really not into taking pictures right now! Molly made me a very pretty coaster at school, too. Her teacher gave them the square to color and draw on and then she mod-podged it to a coaster. I will really love using this coaster! Molly brought it home from school on Friday but was sure to not let me open it until Sunday!
We went to church and then just hung out at home that afternoon. It was a beautiful, sunny day and we let the girls play in the slip 'n slide. My parents came over and we went to dinner with them. It was a nice day! I'm so glad I get to be a mother to Lucy and Molly. They are both so unique and so fun!

Anniversary Tradition
We celebrated our 12th anniversary last month and got to put another pearl in our jar! For our first anniversary my mom wrote us a poem and gave us a jar with rocks in it and a bag of pearls to put in the bag each year on our anniversary. You can read about it here. Some years we forgot to do it on our actual anniversary date, but this year we remembered! We now have 12 pearls in our jar and look forward to adding many, many more pearls to the jar!

Sharing Is Hard
Molly had a rough week last week because it was Lucy's birthday. ;) She had a hard time sharing the attention and presents with Lucy. Can you tell from the pictures?!
Lucy says she didn't act that way on Molly's birthday and we had a good laugh at that statement! I look forward to the day when they can both be happy for the other and not be jealous simply because it's the other's birthday. That day will come, right?!
